Hey, can we be honest for a second? Those moments when you look in the mirror and think, “I don’t deserve love,” or “I’m just not enough”? Yeah, those thoughts lie. They feel real, but they’re usually just old stories, leftover from people who hurt us or from times we didn’t know any better. You are not your past, you’re not your worst day, and you’re definitely not the sum of other people’s opinions.
Imagine waking up and realizing your worth isn’t something you have to earn, it’s something you already have. Your value doesn’t vanish because you made mistakes, went through trauma, or struggled to cope. Just like a plant needs sunlight, you need patience, forgiveness, and a little self-love to grow. Try this: write down a few things you’re actually good at, or kind moments you’ve had. Don’t roll your eyes, you’ve got them.

Healing isn’t some perfect, aesthetic journey where you wake up at 5 a.m. and meditate on a mountain every day. It’s messy, it’s up and down, and that’s okay. You’re allowed to forgive yourself for the stuff you “should’ve” done differently. Everyone has those cringey memories and painful regrets. You’re not the only one, and you’re not behind in life, no matter what your brain (or social media) tells you.
You also don’t have to settle for crumbs, whether that’s in relationships, friendships, or how you talk to yourself. You deserve people who see your value, cheer for your growth, and respect your boundaries. Start small: say no when you’re drained, say yes to things that light you up, and maybe jot down a few things you’re grateful for. It’s not about being “positive all the time,” it’s about gently shifting how you see yourself.
So here’s the truth, friend: you are lovable, you are worthy, and you are allowed to take up space exactly as you are right now. The world really does need the real you, not a watered-down, people-pleasing version. Keep going, keep shining in your own way, and remember, you’re not doing this alone. We’re all just figuring it out together, one tiny, imperfect step at a time.
