“Reflect upon your present blessings—of which every man has many—not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.”
—Charles Dickens
When you arise in the morning,
think of what a precious privilege it is
to be alive;
to breathe, to think,
to enjoy, to love.
~ Marcus Aurelius
“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”
—Eckhart Tolle
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes life is very hard, sometimes it is hard to keep on moving forward especially when you are facing challenges such as illness, feeling depressed or sad to the bones, or you have been affected by job or the hurts of inflation. The truth is, life throws us curve balls. But what has helped me in all this painful journeys is have a heart full of gratitude. In all situations I have chosen to be intentional in my gratitude.
Gift of Life Gratitude
Every day when we wake up, we must thank God for all the blessings He has given us. Start your day off right by giving thanks to God! Think about it – what all do we have to be thankful to God for – our birth, our body, our family, our privileges, all of which came to us as gifts and sometimes we take it for granted.
Life is a gift my friends. We have it and can hold it because God, who created us and the world, chose to give it to us. God withholds no good thing from his children, and today is a day to give thanks for all that you have in life: your family, friends, your favorite people, your hobbies, and anything that makes your heart glad simply for the fact of having it.
Thanking God for the gift of life is a choice that you have to be intentional to make each new day. You have to make a plan or it won’t happen. You have to develop a routine through discipline or it won’t last.
Prayer: Thank you God for giving me another chance to live and share my life with others. The biggest blessing of my life is to be alive.
